Jeriah’s Debut to Professional Theatre

Jeriah Bautista, the Star Singer, has just debuted to professional theatre acting in a children’s musical “Little E”. My sister and I have been mesmerized by her performance last November 30 on the play’s second show. Lively songs in soprano and the line “Chattanooga” marked her spot in the professional theatre world and I would love to watch all the plays she’d be part of in the near future!

Here’s her description in the program:

Jeriah Bautista – Chattanooga Choo Choo

Jeriah, also known as Jaiah, is a 17-year old first year broadcasting student of Trinity University of Asia. Her journey in singing started when she was little. Her parents were amazed of her talents because her first memorized song was not a nursery rhyme but thus, a whole Christian song. She neve became part of a voice class. By singing at church and by asking her father’s assistanc, Jeriah’s voice was enhanced. Last March 8, 2013, Jeriah was awarded as Star Singer of Lucban, Quezon. She is a well-known personality at Lucban for having a very powerful voice and amazing performance. She’s the vocalist of Ascension Band and Grinyakkiss Band. With her band, Jeriah was known as one of the greatest vocalists that ever performed at Lucban’s centerstage. She already got to perform in different parts of Quezon province and is now starting to make her name here in the city with her new band. Little E is the first play that Jeriah will be part of. She’s very excited to be part of more plays in the theatre world.

Little E is an original children’s musical by Maynard Penalosa and the first production of a newly established theater group, Ephesus Theatron Group, Inc. led by Ms. Sweet Samaniego-Buchanan. This initial production will be performed three times more, on December 1, 7:00 pm, December 6, 4:00 pm, and December 8, 3:00 pm at Emilio Aguinaldo College Theater, 7th floor, 1221 Gen. Luna St. Ermita, Manila.
